The Charleston Men’s Chorus is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2026 – 2027 season scholarships. Using proceeds from its annual concerts, CMC awards a total of $10,000 in music scholarships each year to students pursuing a degree in vocal music or choral conducting at the College of Charleston and Charleston Southern University.

Mason Gray

Mason Gray is a junior at the College of Charleston, where he studies music with a concentration in vocal performance. Originally from Clover, South Carolina, Mason developed his passion for choral music as a member of the Clover High School Choraliers under the direction of Jay Forrest before continuing his musical studies in Charleston.

Throughout his musical journey, Mason has performed in a variety of choral and vocal ensembles and continues to seek opportunities to grow as both a musician and performer. As a member of the Charleston Men’s Chorus, he values the opportunity to further develop his voice, perform alongside talented musicians, and experience the unique sense of community that comes from making music together.

Mason is grateful to receive a Charleston Men’s Chorus scholarship and for the support it provides as he continues his education and pursues his passion for vocal performance. He looks forward to an exciting season with the Charleston Men’s Chorus and is thankful to those whose support makes the scholarship program possible.
