Our next audition opportunity is planned for Monday, August 31, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Please complete the Member Application below.
Advance registration is required, and audition times must be confirmed before arrival.
Choral experience and music-reading ability are preferred. Rehearsals are generally held on Monday evenings at St. Philip’s Church.
We may offer additional audition dates if there is sufficient interest.
What to Expect at Your Audition
Applicants should prepare a song or hymn to perform a cappella or with accompaniment. The audition will also include:
- Vocal exercises
- Listening exercises involving melodic patterns and chords
- Sight-singing exercises based on the applicant’s experience
Choral experience and music-reading ability are preferred, but singers with limited sight-reading experience are still encouraged to audition. The audition gives our Artistic Director an opportunity to learn more about each singer’s voice, range, musical ear, and experience.
Membership Information
- Rehearsals are generally held on Monday evenings.
- Rehearsals take place in the St. Philip’s Church choir room, located on the second floor of the Church Offices at 142 Church Street.
- Annual membership dues are $100.
- Members are expected to participate regularly and support concert ticket sales and fundraising efforts.
