Announcing the 2015-2016 CMC Scholars

“As we prepare for our 25th Anniversary season it’s difficult not to reflect back over the years. Donor support has been the cornerstone of our continued growth – and we thank everyone who has supported us over these years. It is interesting to note our first scholarship recipient, William Bennett, is now teaching in the area. Even more interesting, some of his students are now scholarship recipients. I hope we all see this as an excellent return on investment. Again, many thanks from the chorus and many thanks for the students who have been helped along the way.” –Bob Brennan, CMC Board President.

Using proceeds from our annual concerts, CMC awards a total of $10,000 in music scholarships each year to students pursuing a degree in vocal music or choral conducting at the College of Charleston and Charleston Southern University. With great pride, we welcome back our four scholars: Continue reading Announcing the 2015-2016 CMC Scholars

Yes, we mourn the loss of the 9 victims of the shooting while continuing to pray for their families but this event is proof that God can make good out of even the most terrible of events.
